About the trip....

Trond, Runar and Ove from the western part of Norway decided to climb Kilimanjaro and experience a safari the early autumn of 1994. Whit only 14 days to arrange the trip, the whole trip was bad planned. But it turned out to be a exciting and memorable trip.
We followed British Airways to Nairobi, a bus to Moshi, and our guide the rest og the way to Marangu south of Kilimanjaro.

From the village of Umbwe we climbed the Umbwe-route. This is one of the whisky-routes which is some harder and more exciting then the Coca-cola-route (Marangu-route). The other two whisky-routes is Machame and Mbweka.

Apart from a car-crash and the following trip to the hospital, a big fine when we left Tanzania one day to late and a trip in the jungle one night with some far from honest guides, the trip went on without problems.

The Safari was also fine. Two days in Lake Manyara and one day in Ngorongoro was unforgettable.
Look at the pictures. We had a fine trip. If you want adresses and tips just send an e-mail.
If you want to se more pictures, just look at the norwegian version. There are some other pictures.
